Significant Other marks playwright Joshua Harmon’s return to Roundabout following the success of his breakthrough hit Bad Jews. Warm, hilarious, and uncompromisingly honest, Significant Other takes us into the single life of late-twenties Jordan Berman as he confronts the limits of friendship, the inscrutabilities of dating, and the loneliness of adulthood.

Below, in our second installment of our Read/Watch&Listen/Do lists, you’ll find NYC-based activities to immerse yourself in the world of the play and playwright.

UNIQLO Free Fridays at MoMA

Every Friday from 4pm until closing (8pm), admission to all galleries, exhibitions, and films at the Museum of Modern Art are free, courtesy of clothier Uniqlo. Bring a best friend, a date, or yourself to contemplate a painting, Vanessa-and-Jordan style. Who are you today?

“Best Swimming Pools to Cool Off this Summer in New York City”
by Rebecca Fishbein

“Rooftop and Hotel Pools Open to the Public in NYC”
by Carolyn Stanley
If your office doesn’t have a Westchester country club pool party (like Jordan’s and Kiki’s does), take matters into your own hands and check out some of these New York City pools, courtesy of Time Out New York. The first list (“Best Swimming Pools…”) represents all five boroughs, with multiple free options on the list. The second option (“Rooftop and Hotel Pools…”) provides options for a more luxurious swim, with prices ranging from $30 to a stay at the Trump SoHo (from $395 a night). Attractive coworkers not guaranteed.

NYC Pride 2015

This morning, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a Constitutional right, a landmark decision that legalizes gay marriage in all 50 states. The 5 to 4 ruling is a huge victory for LGBT activists and supporters and is sure to make this weekend’s Pride festivities – including the famed March (June 28th) – a historically big party. Join in celebrating a new chapter in the history of LGBT rights in America!

Significant Other is a limited engagement at the Laura Pels Theatre. For more information and tickets, visit our website.
