On the Twentieth Century

20141020103418382It is my pleasure to announce additional cast members for On the Twentieth Century, our next production at the American Airlines Theatre. The previously announced Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher will be joined by Tony Award nominee Andy Karl (Bruce Granit), Mark LinnBaker (Oliver Webb), Tony Award winner Michael McGrath (Owen O'Malley) and Tony Award winner Mary Louise Wilson (Letitia Primrose).

All four of these wonderful actors are already part of the Roundabout family, and I’m so happy to welcome them back. Andy Karl was most recently seen in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Mark Linn-Baker in A Flea In Her Ear, Michael McGrath in Little Me, and Mary Louise Wilson in The Women.

Warren Carlyle will choreograph the show, and with Scott Ellis at the helm it’s bound to be a fantastic production.

On the Twentieth Century begins previews February 12, 2015 at the American Airlines Theatre. For more information and tickets, please visit our website.

It is my great pleasure to announce that we will be producing the musical On the Twentieth Century, with book and lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green, score by Cy Coleman, and directed by Scott Ellis. Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher will star in this production, opening in the spring of 2015 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Both Peter and Kristin have seen great success in theatre, film, and television. It is wonderful to welcome back Kristin, who was last seen at Roundabout in The Apple Tree and has created iconic characters on stage in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (which she won a Tony for) and Wicked as well as many memorable roles on television shows like “Pushing Daisies” and “Glee.” Peter has had a remarkable stage career spanning more than 40 years, and he was last on Broadway in The Country Girl. Peter has also shown incredible range in both film and television, including American Beauty, While You Were Sleeping, and “The O.C.”

The design and production team also features long-time Roundabout family: Warren Carlyle (Choreography), David Rockwell (Sets), William Ivey Long (Costumes), and Donald Holder (Lights).

I am thrilled to bring this true American classic back to Broadway. And with Scott Ellis at the helm, I know the production will be remarkable. I encourage you to subscribe now and save up to 45% off on single ticket prices or sign up for our Email Club to purchase single tickets before the general public.
