We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Anything Goes National Tour! The tour will kick off at the PlayhouseSquare in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in October 2012.
Following its opening in Cleveland, Anything Goes will cruise into more than 25 other cities during the 2012-2013 season, including the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Additional cities and casting will be announced in the coming months.
The role of Reno Sweeney will be played by Rachel York. Rachel is best known for her critically acclaimed Broadway performances in City of Angels, Les Misérables, Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award), The Scarlet Pimpernel, Sly Fox, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She also turned heads on television with her courageous portrayal of Lucille Ball in the CBS movie, “Lucy.”

Anything Goes will continue on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
Roundabout was most recently represented across the country with the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning national tour of Twelve Angry Men that toured the country for 2 years, spending 63 weeks across the United States and Canada. Our longest-running musical, the revival of Cabaret, received a multi-year tour across the country beginning in 1999. In 2011, our acclaimed work reached a worldwide cinema audience with the HD capture and broadcast of their Tony nominated production of The Importance of Being Earnest, starring Brian Bedford.
“It is important as an institutional theatre to help great work get seen by a wider audience. While New York audiences and visitors will continue to have the opportunity to see Anything Goes on Broadway, I am thrilled to be able to follow-up Roundabout’s successful national tour of Twelve Angry Men with Anything Goes, an equally extraordinary theatrical experience. There is so much pride in being able to share the work of Roundabout with audiences around the country and in their home towns," says Artistic Director Todd Haimes.

Since you’re including Los Angeles in your National Tour, it would be just a hop, kick-step-ball-chain and a jump to Seattle. The 5th Avenue Theatre and the Paramount have built in a Sell-Out Audience for you.

A West End transfer would be fabulous especially if Sutton Foster or Stephanie J Block came over to make their West End debut. Have any Roundabout productions ever transferred to London?

We are hoping the touring company of Anything Goes makes a port call in Boston on its tour. Would love to see it arrive in Boston for a visit. I just read that Reno Sweeney will be played by Rachel York. Excellent choice for Reno. Rachel is a great person, actress, comedian, dancer and singer. We have seen her numerous times in various shows. Congratulations Rachel On Your Passage Onboard The S.S. American.
