This is one of the most beautiful musicals in recent memory; an unashamed love story that never stops extolling the power of love and its ability to transform people. The music is lush and the lyrics literate and all sung by first rate actors. How refreshing to sit in a theatre and watch a play that has no obscenities, no rapes and abortions, no suicides, no persons in need of psychiatric care, no over amplified singers and musicians and no loss of hope when it all ends. The libretto, music and lyrics brings this wonderful story to a logical and fit ending. I sincerely hope that this show continues to have a life after Roundabout and is performed throughout the world. Thank you Messers, Yeston, Stone and Meehan.
