Roundabout Remembers Carrie Fisher

Posted on: December 27th, 2016 by Roundabout

The Roundabout family mourns the loss of the great Carrie Fisher. Carrie would be the first to say that her life took more twists and turns than most, even by the Hollywood standards that defined so much of it. It was truly incredible to watch Carrie share all of her stories on the Studio 54 stage during performances of Wishful Drinking in 2009. And she was never afraid to share all of herself – the good, the bad, and the ugly. By then, the world had already known for decades how she could captivate a film audience, but to watch her on stage was something really special. Her honesty, humor, and tenacity (not to mention all the glitter) were unforgettable. Thank you, Carrie, for the laughter and the vulnerability that you brought to the theatre. We are all sending our love to Debbie, Joely and Billie. You will be missed.
